glima - one type wrestling
There are only two postage stamps that show glima, the Icelandic national wrestling, a display of which was included in the Stockholm Olympics in 1912. Glima translates literally as "The Game of Joy", and is an art roughly 1100 years old. It was brought to Iceland by Viking settlers, and has been practiced as a folk art since then. In Iceland, one of the reasons you might have decided to play a few rounds was just to stay warm on a cold night. Glima is also considered as the Icelandic national style of amateur Folk wrestling.
